The police appointment is what finalises your study permit — the pre-departure UDI approval is preliminary. Miss the 7-day window and you have to explain it to the police officer at the appointment; renewals get more painful.

- 2Bring: passport + UDI decision letter, admission letter, rental agreement.
- 3Attend the appointment; biometrics are captured at this step.
