Without a CPR, you CANNOT open a real Danish bank account, cannot sign a phone contract, cannot get the yellow health-insurance card, cannot enrol in the university's IT systems in most cases, and cannot use MobilePay. Everything is downstream of this. Book International Citizen Service (aarhus / copenhagen / odense / aalborg) the same week you land — do not wait.

- SIM contract & MobilePay (payment app used everywhere)
- Yellow health-insurance card / NHS access
- University IT systems (SU / self-service / Zoom-SSO in most institutions)
- Signed lease with most landlords
- 1As soon as your address is set, book International Citizen Service (ICS) in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Odense or Aalborg.
- 2Bring: passport + SIRI decision letter, admission letter, rental agreement / accommodation confirmation.
- 3ICS registers you at Borgerservice, issues the CPR, and hands over the yellow health card. All in one appointment when it works.
- 4Only after CPR: open a Danske Bank / Nordea account, enrol in MobilePay, get a real SIM contract.
